challenge

A multi vendor fixed network deployed all over the country combined with the fact that certain remote sites had poor connectivity or expensive transport costs to a central location made complying with legal interception of calls of certain POTS users a problem.

solution

Condor deployed and ad-hoc solution which included a centralized management software as well as remote High-Z interception devices. Those devices capture not only the audio of the call but also all the events on the intercepted subscriber and transmit the information in a secure way through a dedicated mobile access network.

results

The solution was successfully deployed to meet the regulatory requirement and reduce transport costs and in the process allowing to homogenize the network. The flexibility of the solution allows Telefonica to even give interception services to other Operators, opening a new revenue stream.
